Things are going fairly well. The three of us seem to be adapting to how things work here.
Much of this week has been dedicated to finding motorcycles so we can continue our journey.
We found some motorcycles. Josh is purchasing a KTM Duke 200, and Elizabeth and I are getting KTM Duke 390 bikes. I’m pretty happy that the bike is around the price point I wanted.
I’ll be writing one or two posts next week about how we went about finding the bikes. We should be taking delivery late next week. It will depend on what the manufacturer recommendations are for our motorcycles, but I am really hoping that we don’t have to go through an extensive process to break in the bikes before we hit the highway. Bogota traffic is crazy, and the less I have to ride in it, the better.
Our days have been spent on motorcycle hunting, and our nights have been a mixture of various activities. We’ve gone salsa dancing, we’ve been to casinos, and we’ve tried a lot of different restaurants. Today we’re planning to go on a bicycle tour, and then we might visit a local flea market and a museum. I’ve heard that Bogota museums are free on Sundays.
